Dodge City Paintball of OKC

Are you interested in joining a team?

Many players or parents have questions to ask about being on a team.  I hope this will shed a little light on that.

I think everyone has the right to be on the team. Whether a player stays on the team or not is based on their attitude and commitment to the team.  OuterLimits has several squads including a young guns team (16 years old and younger), and squads varying from new players to very experienced teams.

What you can expect from me as the field owner and team captain is scheduling practices and tournaments, coaching, and making sure you always have a squad to play with.  Discounts also apply on scheduled practices.

What I would expect from you is that you join the team for the reason of competing in tournaments, and representing Dodge City Paintball and OuterLimits in a very positive light.  I also would expect you to give every effort to not miss a practice and make most of the tourneys that your squad decides to compete in.  Joining the team is not just a place to play at a higher level and play for free.

The cost of competing varies from tourney to tourney.  The KOPS series for example this coming year is only $100.00 entry fee for a 3 man team and then $10.00 for the air.  You pay for the paint they sell at the event for $65.00 a case.  It is a local series we plan on playing.  The Springfield tourney in Missouri we usually do is $400.00 entry for a 5 man team and $70.00 a case for paint.  Then there is a motel cost too.  Of course we share rooms to make it cheaper.  The more you compete the higher the expense.  You can usually just pick the tourney you want and do them instead of going all out.  We usually hit close to ten a year.  The new players don’t do that many.

For young players, school age, my requirement is that you stay in school and keep grades up.  If parents inform me of bad grades you are off the team until they come up.  Remember family, work, and school has to come first.

We practice at least once a month, and that needs to be a high priority as that is how we pick teams and have try outs for higher squads.

Another question is what kind of equipment do you need?  We have a lot of different guns on the team.  The easiest way to answer that is to get the best dependable, smooth shooting gun you can afford.  I will help you get the lowest price on anything I am able to get and also check with other team mates to see if I can get a good buy on a used one that they are trying to sell.

When you are on the team, be sure to give me an email address, so I can get you on the mail list.  That is the best way to know what is going on.

I hope this helps a little and feel free to contact me.
